Apply via your state's CRS (Civil Registration System) or e-Nagarsewa portal.
Fill in the required details and upload documents.
Apply at your local Municipal Corporation/Municipality or Panchayat office.
Usually issued in 7–15 days if applied on time.
Track status on the CRS portal using your registration number.
A digital copy can be downloaded from the portal after registration.
Apply at the relevant Registrar's office for name/detail corrections.
A birth certificate remains permanently valid — no renewal needed.
You can still register by paying a late fee, or with district magistrate permission for longer delays — the longer the delay, the longer the process may take.
